What About Bob?

I am a 63-year old, soon to be retired, Financial Systems Administrator currently working at ES Aero in San Luis Obispo. I graduated with an MBA from UCLA in 1986 and lived and worked mainly in Southern and Northern California for a number of large firms such as McDonnell Douglas, Oracle, Google, Cisco and SoFi. My specialty was managing and implementing complex financial and manufacturing systems and from this experience learned to work with a wide variety of people to reach common goals.

I have always been interested in given back to the communities I lived in, and have volunteered for numerous non-profits over the years, including stints as HOA President, Church Board Vice-President, Historical Society Treasurer, and volunteer Big Brother.

I have been actively involved in Paso Robles since moving here and deciding to make it my forever home. To learn about the community faster, I went on a police ride along, hiked and biked the area in all directions, frequented the shops, restaurants and wineries, volunteered as a Docent at the Paso Robles History Museum and helped feed the food insecure with the city sponsored ECHO program.

I decided to run for City Council because I believe I have the skills and temperament to help Paso Robles become an even better place to live. I do not own a business in town or have land holdings other than my own home, so there will be no conflicts of interest in the decisions that I would make as a City Council member. My primary deciding factor would be how does this decision impact the majority of the residents of Paso Robles with a special emphasis on the residents of District 2 who are the ones who would elect me.

I look forward to utilizing the practical skills I learned in my long career and the greatly increased free time I will soon have to help make Paso Robles even more enjoyable.

Below are a few photos of the various ways I have found to get involved and give back to the local community.
